HOW IT WORKS

Every Claude Code user has a unique companion — a buddy — determined by their Anthropic account UUID. Your buddy is generated using a deterministic algorithm, so it will always be the same for your account.

Your account UUID is combined with a salt and hashed using wyhash. The hash seeds a Mulberry32 PRNG that determines your buddy's species, rarity, stats, eye style, hat, and shiny status.

There is also a 1% chance of being SHINY, which adds +50 power and a shimmer effect.

Each buddy has 5 stats: DEBUGGING, PATIENCE, CHAOS, WISDOM, and SNARK (0-100). Two stats are special: one primary (boosted) and one secondary (reduced). Higher rarity means higher stat floors.
